Prof. Dr. Abdel-Badeh M. Salem is a Professor Emeritus of Computer Science at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, since September 2007. Previously, he served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences (1996-2007), and held the position of Director of the Scientific Computing Center (1984-1990). His research focuses on knowledge engineering, expert systems, intelligent medical and health informatics, and e-learning technologies. He has authored approximately 850 papers, including 150 indexed in Scopus, and has contributed to 25 books in English and Arabic. Prof. Salem has been a key figure in numerous conferences, serving as keynote speaker, organizer, and session chair. He co-founded several significant events, including the International Cairo Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications and the International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Information Systems. His extensive editorial roles span journals such as the International Journal of Computing and Information Sciences and the Egyptian Computer Science Journal. He is a member of various international scientific societies and academies, including AAAI, INNS, and IASTED, and has been recognized by the Euro Mediterranean Academy of Arts and Sciences, Alma Mater Europaea, and the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.
