Mohamed Kheir received his MSc degree in Communications Technology from Ulm University in 2005 and a PhD degree (with honors) in Information Engineering and Technology from the German University in Cairo, in collaboration with Magdeburg University, in 2011.
From 2012 to 2015, he was as a Lecturer at Kiel University, where he engaged in teaching and research activities. Between 2015 and 2020, he worked as a Senior RF/EMC Expert with IMS Connector Systems Group and Keysight Technologies. From 2020 to 2023, he held the position of EMC Technical Leader at Nokia Networks in Ulm, Germany. Currently, he is an Associate Professor and the EMC Group Leader at SDU Sønderborg, Denmark.
In addition to his academic and professional roles, he serves as an Associate Editor for both IEEE Access and the IEEE Internet of Things Journal. He also holds the position of Officer for Standards Development at the IEEE EMC Society.
He has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and honors from various conferences and organizations worldwide. His research interests include machine-learning-driven techniques for EMI/EMC and the development of advanced smart EMI shielding materials.
